What you'll do:As our
Operational Buyer colleague you will ensure accurate materials purchasing and call-offs to fulfill the master production schedule. This includes coordinating project-related materials from customers and vendors, consolidating them for plant products, managing subcontracting purchase orders, monitoring Kanban orders with Production, forecasting supplier needs, converting requisitions into purchase orders, tracking supplier confirmations, following shipment schedules, planning freight logistics, and handling Customs Clearance duties. The Operational Buyer also maintains purchasing (ERP material data) and inventory parameters (safety stocks) in alignment with replenishment strategies.
- Identify and Address Material Shortages: Collaborate closely with the Master Planner, Production Planners, Production, and Procurement teams to identify current and potential material shortages. Take proactive measures to avoid delays in production schedules and mitigate sales risks. React swiftly to material shortages by coordinating with suppliers and working closely with Production Line Managers and Planners. Address unexpected shortages arising from Tier meetings (BOM errors, stock discrepancy etc. to minimize the impact of the line stop.
- Customer-Specific Project Support: Work closely with the Project Engineering team
- Inventory Management: Support inventory checks to ensure accuracy. Coordinate material flow to production in collaboration with the Warehouse team.
- Invoice Approval and Supplier Meetings: Verify and approve freight and supplier-related invoices. Participate in supplier meetings alongside the Procurement team, providing an operational perspective and relaying feedback to the SCM team.
Qualifications:- Bachelor of Science/Logistics/SCM/Business Adminstration
- Min. 2 years experience in Supply Chain, Demand & Supply management knowledge.
Skills:- Finnish, English language fluency
- SAP ERP knowledge, basic Excel skills
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn & develop, proactivity
